Books are about to open their covers again! After a 6 month closure, the bookshelves are being dusted and readied for a grand re-opening in January.

The Kirk Library has one of the most extensive ranges of Christian books to be found in any Church. Bill and Joyce McLean have done a brilliant job over many years organising this marvellous resource.  Bill has kindly offered to continue to maintain the database so fortunately we have not last the McLean guiding hand.
Let us make 2006 the year of the BIG READ.

There are books on our bulging shelves for the youngest to the oldest. From Christian fiction, exciting biographies, poetry to devotional books, we have something for everyone. There are also large-print books, videos, CDs and tapes. Tapes for car journeys are popular, as are the tapes of our own past services.

If you have not been a user of the library, take time to come along after the morning service and have a browse.   Do feel free to ask for any resource.

Perhaps your New Year Resolution. is to read more. If so, make Callander Kirk Library your first port of call. Encourage your children to dip into their age-sorted boxes.

Books, including LARGE PRINT are arranged on the shelves by author's surname and there are also lists where they are categorised by subject.

Good for all members, but especially useful for people taking the Alpha course is the selection of recommended Alpha books, videos and tapes

Tapes, Videos and CDs are available for both music and the spoken word.
The morning church services are also available on tape.

The younger members are also able to browse and their books are arranged by age group.

The videos "Veggie Tales" are particularly popular.

Books can also be recommended for parents to read and share with children.
